1) Examples: XQuery and Web Services

XQueryWebService is a framework that allows you to expose an XQuery as a Web service. You can build powerful web service client applications using DataDirect XQuery's built-in function ddtek:wscall. Consume any service via SOAP over HTTP, aggregate the result with relational data sources as well as legacy documents like EDI business transactions.

Check out the following XQueryWebService Examples for further explanation:

Accessing Web Services with XQuery
View code examples of consuming incoming requests as XML, accessing relational databases or XML configuration files, and producing the XML needed for a response.

2) Benefitfocus: Growing Markets via Hi-Volume EDI

Using DataDirect XML Converters, companies like Benefitfocus have found it's easy to convert X12 EDI into XML in as little as 10 lines of Java or C# code. For Benefitfocus, the XML Converters from DataDirect have provided immediate value to the organization helping build upon existing quality to meet the needs of insurance carriers.

For every map that we would have to build, our new solution using DataDirect’s products will probably save us approximately 40 hours."
