EDI and Flat Files in an XML World

The Internet Integration has changed how suppliers and partners exchange information. Traditionally, suppliers and partners have used expensive, proprietary, software and networks to engage in B2B commerce. Only larger suppliers and partners could afford to implement EDI. The monthly costs and per message transaction fees were cost prohibitive. However, studies have shown that electronic transactions are a fraction of the cost to process compared to manual transactions. The internet has ushered in a new age for EDI - one where EDI is used in conjunction with the ubiquitous Web to transact business. The Internet, standards, and new technologies have reduced the transaction cost and partner on boarding time. Even with the new standards that have emerged around XML, manipulation of XML documents still proves difficult. Tune into this webinar to learn about how to modernize your EDI infrastructure and exploit XML technologies.
